LLDPE Geomembranes

Solution ponds and heap leach pads used in the mining process require the most durable containment lining systems available. GSE UltraFlex is an LLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) geomembrane developed to meet the specific needs of the mining industry.

Material is manufactured in rolls widths of 22.5 feet for fewer field seams, faster installation and less opportunity for leakage

Detect Pond Leakage

Pond liners are exposed to the elements and rigorous use. To minimize leak testing costs and maximize your investment, we developed GSE Conductive, a patented geomembrane which allows for spark testing to detect leaks. Use GSE Conductive along with a GSE geonet or geocomposite to test pond liners in place, year after year.

Corrosion Protection

GSE offers unique products for lining settling tanks and other structures that use sweep arms. GSE’s StudLiner HDPE (high density polyethylene) is embedded into newly poured concrete or adhered to existing concrete with injected mortar or grout. The result is a smooth, wrinkle-free, rigid membrane surface that serves as both complete containment and abrasion protection. GSE StudLiner HDPE is available in a range of thicknesses and configurations for specific applications to prolong your concrete structures.

An alternative for lining concrete structures is by anchoring our standard geomembranes to concrete tanks with GSE PolyLock HDPE attachment strips. The strips are positioned in the concrete forms used for pouring the tanks. Once the concrete has set, GSE geomembrane material can then be welded directly to the embedded HDPE strip for continuous attachment to the interior of the tank.
