In January 2006, GSE acquired SL Limitada to become GSE Lining Technology Chile S.A. GSE Lining Technology Chile S.A. manages the South American operations from Santiago, Chile. It has a global network of carefully selected representatives to service all Latin American customers.

GSE’s Chilean manufacturing facility is located in Antofagasta, Chile. At this facility, there are two geomembrane production lines both smooth and textured with a combined annual capacity of 18,000 metric tons. Each line is equipped with an advanced computerized control monitoring system, an on-line spark testing device to continually check the liner integrity, and full laboratory facilities for product testing. GSE offers a wide selection of geosynthetic products and it can respond to its customers' wide range of geosynthetic lining systems requirements.
