The GSE GundSeal geomembrane
supported GCLs are the most hydraulically advanced lining product available,
with improved leakage performance over conventional geomembrane/clay
composite liners. The product combines a 15 mil to 80 mil (0.4 mm to 2.0 mm)
smooth or textured HDPE geomembrane with the swelling and sealing ability of
sodium bentonite. The bentonite is attached to the geomembrane using a
non-toxic non-polluting adhesive. Together, this double barrier system acts
as a self sealing composite liner.
The GSE GundSeal GCL can be utilized as a one-product composite liner (geomembrane/clay)
or as a replacement for a compacted clay liner. Exceptional hydraulic
performance, ease of installation, and economic savings of installing a one
product composite liner makes GundSeal GCLs ideal for landfill liners/caps,
solid/liquid containment impoundments, secondary containment, and many other
non-exposed liner or cap projects.
Primary features of the GSE GundSeal
GCLs:
A cost effective replacement for composite
liners (geomembrane/clay)
Ease and construction quality assurance of
a one product installation
Economical installations using overlapped
or welded geomembrane seams
Minimum geomembrane wrinkles
Smooth or textured HDPE geomembrane backing
available up to 80 mil (2.0 mm) for flat or sloping composite liner
applications
